Brent will walk you through simple, low-tech pyrolysis techniques you can try at home, as well as discuss other fascinating uses for biochar, including water filtration, a concrete additive, and even as a livestock feed supplement. Sound has long been used as a tool for healing and emotional balance. In this demonstration, wellness guide Cora Thomason will introduce you to the practice of sound healing through the use of crystal singing bowls, intuitive vocal tones, and the soulful resonance of the Native flute. Cora will explain how sound frequencies interact with the body’s energy systems, and how even simple practices at home can help release stress, improve clarity, and bring you into a state of greater harmony. This is a gentle, thoughtful introduction to sound as a wellness modality.

Presented by Mx6 Ranch & Honey Bee Yard
Curious about bees? Thinking of starting your own hive? Pam Mackinder, co-owner of Mx6 Ranch, will walk you through what it takes to begin beekeeping. With over a decade of experience raising bees alongside her family’s cows, chickens, and horses, Pam shares what equipment you’ll need, where to find bees, and what to expect as a first-time beekeeper. She’ll also discuss the many benefits of bees—not just their honey, but their wax and pollen too. Be sure to stop by the Mx6 booth to pick up raw honey and 100% beeswax candles, which burn brighter, longer, and even purify the air as they glow.
All demonstrations are free and open to the public.
